Ernesto Perez-Carrillo E Stunner cigar

The E-Stunner cigar by tobacco artist E.P. Carrillio

Wrapper Ecuadoran Sumatra
Binder Nicaraguan
Filler tobacco from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic

This review covers the Corriente 46 ring gauge by 4 inches. 24 cigars come in a box.

The name for this cigar is perfect. Not because the taste is over bearing, but because this cigar is like a fine painting it takes your breath way. This cigar is a stunning work of art.

The over all craftsmanship in this fine cigar covers all bases. The look of this cigar is a beauty. The wrapper is excellent with small well-defined veins, oily shine and tight seams. The feel of this cigar is firm but not overly stuffed.

The foot shows a well-constructed cigar with no spaces. The cap is clean with no roughness, smooth all around, and the cigar cap cut cleanly.

The aroma is full of rich tobacco and earth. The pre-light draw was perfect, just a hind of things to come.

The cigar toasted effortlessly, and the first draw of smoke was heavenly. The first taste had a hint of sweetness and a full flash of tobacco with a smooth infusion on spice. All of the taste was on the front of the tongue. The smoothness of the flavor reminded me of the first time I tasted a Guinness beer. The beer was dark looking as if it was made of motor oil. But the taste delightful with very small bubbles, the same is with the E Stunner a very delightful tobacco taste with small bubbles of spice. Very smooth and stunning.

The first third of this fine cigar produced the same great flavors with a little maple and some oil that remained on the tongue between puffs. I had to maintain control over the frequency of draws the cigar was so tasty I did not want to put it down.

Just like a Guinness this cigar had a ton of flavor. The richness of the flavor remained through out the second third. The background spice did not increase at all, the smoothness remained along with the oil on the tongue. No harshness in the back of the throat. The tobaccos in the cigar had been aged perfectly. It was stunning.

The last third retained the same great taste. The only problem was, I could see the end of this cigar, what a shame.

I enjoyed this cigar to the point I could no longer hold it and take a puff with out burning my fingers. When I finished this cigar I licked my lips and found the same great flavor, how great is that.

This was what cigar smoking is all about! Fine construction, perfectly aged tobacco, artistic tobacco blending by a master and stunning taste. I recommend that when you get a chance to try this cigar, do not rush it. Find a peaceful place where you can set back and reflect upon a great cigar.
I will be adding this cigar to my humidor.

Enjoy.
