The cigar smoked for this review

Perdomo Habano Maduro Robusto
52 X 5”

The Perdomo Habano Maduro was firm and when I rolled it between my fingers it had a silky feel. When I rolled it and placed it to my ear the cigar produced a constant smooth sound.

The fine craftsmanship of this chocolate brown cigar, its small veins, and oily luster, tight seams and expertly crafted cap all contribute to a luxurious cigar.

The rich tobacco aroma was very delightful. It smelled delicious; I could not wait to light this fine cigar.

The cap cut without any hesitation and cut cleanly, leaving no ragged edges or loose tobacco.

The foot exposed the long leaf tobacco used in this magnificent cigar. The foot was very flat and the cigar had been formed with highly skilled hands.

The foot toasted like a dream, evenly all the way across and the cigar lit without any problems

The first effortless draw on this fine cigar gave my mouth a rush of tobacco, spicy, pepper, chocolate and a little sweetness in the background. The flavors meld together to produce a sinfully delicious smoke. The beginning of the Perdomo Habano Maduro cigar was medium bodied cigar.
Flavor is often confused with taste; flavor is the combination of taste and smell.
This cigar delighted the taste buds as well as the nose with a great aroma.

The pepper dropped off in the first third jus a bit, the spice, coffee, chocolate, and sweetness remained and the smoke was silky smooth. This cigar produced cloud of good smoke. I only had to make one minor touch up to the burn line.

I am smoking this cigar with a mason jar filled with Earl Grey tea, a great pairing with this cigar.

The tobacco flavors in the second third were very consistent and balance. This is a very refined cigar. Perdomo Cigar defiantly had a master blender design this wonderful cigar. I really enjoyed this cigar.

The last third of this cigar pick up in body to a medium plus. The flavors all continued to work together to developed a wonderful taste sensation in my mouth. All of the flavors from this cigar were in the front of my mouth, no harsh or off tastes. Once again the skill applied to the creation of this cigar is very obvious the tobacco was aged and fermented to perfection.

Once again when I was not looking another cigar has been reduced to ashes. I seam to keep losing cigars this way.

Sight, Hearing, Taste, Smell, and Touch
This cigar pleases all five senses

I highly recommend the Perdomo Habano Maduro cigar, I am sure that you will enjoy this smoke as well as I did. If you look, you will find this cigar in my humidor.

I was recently at a Christmas party at the Vero Beach Smoke Inn and had the great pleasure to meet Nick Perdomo (on the left), his son Nicholas Perdomo (on the right) and his brother Billy Perdomo (next to Nicholas). Beside Nick is a family friend Jerry Ferrara

Here is photo of Jerry and his wife Maureen Ferrara each enjoying a cigar.

Enjoy.

Cigar smoked for this review

The Black Knight cigar
54 X 6"

Wrapper: San Andreas Maduro
Binder: Cuban seed Dominican
Filler: Long leaf Cuban seed Dominican, San Victor, and Olor

For a definition of Olor tobacco follow this like to one of my older pages

San Victor in the Dominican Republic.
The aroma of this cigar before lighting it had a very rich tobacco and hay smell.

The dark brown wrapper with the small veins makes the Black Knight cigar gorgeous. Black Knight cigar was very firm and evenly packed with a nice silky wrapper
This cigar had a well-fashioned cap.

Black Knight cigar Kings’ Humidor Sebastian Florida

The cap cut with minimal effort and the cigar had a low resistance draw that was just right.

Black Knight cigar Kings’ Humidor Sebastian Florida

The foot looked expertly crafted and added to the overall appeal of this gorgeous cigar. The cigar toasted uniformly and the cigar lit on the first attempt.

Black Knight cigar Kings’ Humidor Sebastian Florida

Once lit the cigar delivered some black pepper, oak, earth, hint of sweetness and a little nut flavor.

Black Knight cigar Kings’ Humidor Sebastian Florida

The smoke was very clean and tasty. This cigar was rich in flavors, but very smooth and creamy.
No unusual flavors, just plenty of balanced tobacco flavors. You can tell that the tobaccos used in this cigar was aged and fermented to the point that no ammonia or other nasty chemicals remained.

Black Knight cigar Kings’ Humidor Sebastian Florida

The first third of the Black Knight cigar continued to deliver a great smoking pleasure. The flavors remained very much the same from the beginning. At this point I would call this cigar a medium bodied cigar.

Black Knight cigar Kings’ Humidor Sebastian Florida

The pepper has picked up some in the second third of the Black Knight cigar, all of the other flavors has increased as well bringing this cigar to medium plus in strength The smoke remained pleasant and all of the flavors were on the front of my tongue. This denotes the effort that was placed into the aging and fermentation of the Black Knight’s tobaccos.
The flavors have been well balanced, no flavor out of harmony. The great construction of this cigar has keep it burning uniformly with out any touch ups.

Black Knight cigar Kings’ Humidor Sebastian Florida

To this point this cigar has been a fantastic smoking experience. This cigar is selling for under $5.00. WOW! What a deal this is right up Cheap Charlie’s ally, a cheap price and a great smoking pleasure. I can afford to share this cigar with some friends. This is a great burning cigar with out burning my budget.

Henry, owner of the Kings’ Humidor in Sebastian Florida, has done a great job selecting the tobaccos for the blend in the Black Knight cigar.

Once again another cigar has gone missing from my humidor.

The Affinity Cigar is extremely well designed. This cigar  is firm to the touch, has a great cap and the overall construction is flawless.

Sindicato Cigars Affinity Cigar Smoke Inn Vero beach Florida

The cap cut with out any effort and had no lose tobacco or ragged edges. The exposed tobacco looked like it had been packed accurately. The pre-lit draw was good, not to much resistance.

Sindicato Cigars Affinity Cigar Smoke Inn Vero beach Florida

The aroma of this pre-lit cigar had a pleasing tobacco scent. The foot toasted freely and properly. The Affinity Cigar lit on the very first attempt.

Sindicato Cigars Affinity Cigar Smoke Inn Vero beach Florida

The first few puff of this cigar has some sweetness, cedar, nut flavors and the cigar produced a lot of smoke.

Sindicato Cigars Affinity Cigar Smoke Inn Vero beach Florida

The smoke also deposited some tasty oil on my tongue, a very pleasing combination of flavors. This cigar is a mild smoke to this point, however the flavors mingled well together to make an enjoyable smoke.

Sindicato Cigars Affinity Cigar Smoke Inn Vero beach Florida

A nice selection of tobaccos was working well together. The first third developed a little pepper and the sweetness has dropped off. The cedar, nut, and pepper had a well-balanced flavor arrangement.

Sindicato Cigars Affinity Cigar Smoke Inn Vero beach Florida

The second third continued with the same group of balanced flavor, but the strength has increased to a medium cigar. The cigar’s construction has remained intact and the cigar has burned evenly and did not require any touch ups to the burn line. So far this has been a very satisfying smoking experience. I am very happy that Trevor McKnight of the Smoke Inn Vero beach gave me this cigar to review, the please was all mine.
Thank you Trevor.

Sindicato Cigars Affinity Cigar Smoke Inn Vero beach Florida

The last third of the Affinity Cigar continued to produce the same cedar, pepper, and nut flavors. A little sweetness has creped back into the flavor profile. This cigar has a very pleasing taste. This would be a good cigar for the novice as well as the experienced cigar smoker The Affinity Cigar delivers great and enjoyable smoke. This cigar would be pleasing to all cigar enthusiasts. I’ll be smoking this cigar often and you will find this cigar in my humidor.

Osceola Cigar Maduro

Osceola Maduro Cigar Vero Beach Florida Pipe Den and Cigars

Filler: Nicaraguan
Binder: Nicaraguan
Wrapper; Maduro Nicaraguan

Nicaraguan Puro

This Osceola Maduro Cigar is a custom blended cigar exclusively for the Pipe Den & Cigars of Vero Beach, Florida, by Oliva Cigar Co.

This brand of cigar comes in Maduro and Natural.

The cigar smoked in this review was an Osceola Maduro Cigar 5” by 50-ring gauge.

Osceola Maduro Cigar

Osceola Maduro Cigar Vero Beach Florida Pipe Den and Cigars

This Osceola Maduro Cigar is handsome with beautiful dark brown oily wrapper. The cigar looks very well made, Oliva Cigar Company’s standard top-notch handmade craftsmanship.
The cap is flawless.

The seams on this cigar are visible but very tight.

Osceola Maduro Cigar Vero Beach Florida Pipe Den and Cigars

And the cap cut cleanly, with out any loose tobacco. The cut showed the ends of the long leaf filler that was used in the construction of this fine cigar. The aroma of this cigar was very rich in tobacco and hay odors. The cut cigar was very delicious smelling. I was looking forward to lighting the cigar.

Osceola Maduro Cigar Vero Beach Florida Pipe Den and Cigars

The foot of the Osceola Maduro Cigar was skillfully made, very flat and even. The foot
Toasted quickly and evenly and the cigar lit on the very first try.

Osceola Maduro Cigar Vero Beach Florida Pipe Den and Cigars

The first draw on this lit cigar delivered a taste of oak, black pepper, and oil on the tongue. Just a bit of sweetness in the smoke.

Osceola Maduro Cigar Vero Beach Florida Pipe Den and Cigars

Oak, black pepper, some sweetness, a little coffee, and oil were the flavors of the first third. These flavor started to increase as the cigar continued to burn. The sweetness, which was very low and in the background, started to have a caramel flavor. The Smoke was well balanced and smooth.

Osceola Maduro Cigar Vero Beach Florida Pipe Den and Cigars

In the second third the cigar continued with the same flavor structure. The cigar continued to remain firm and the draw was exceptional. The cigar produced a good quantity of smoke, which I happen to like.

Osceola Maduro Cigar Vero Beach Florida Pipe Den and Cigars

Bob Marshbanks and Sue Marshbanks, the owners of the Pipe Den and Cigars of Vero Beach Florida, had this cigar blended to meat the demands of his clientele. Bob and Sue opened the Pipe Den in 1977 and in only a couple of years after opening the shop, they started to supply the locals with cigars. With this long history of selling cigars, there is no doubt that Bob and Sue knows a good cigar. If you get the chance to spend some time in their shop ask Bob about the difference types of tobacco out there and the were those tobaccos are grown. Bob has a lot of war stories about the cigar industry. Bob and Sue have been selling the Osceola Cigar for years. It is a popular brand in their shop, with good reason. Bob and Sue also bend their own pipe tobacco in the shop and they will do custom bends.

Thank you Bob and Sue for this fine cigar to review.

In the last third the flavor has remained constant, however the sweetness has picked up slightly. Not enough to change the balanced taste of the Osceola Maduro Cigar. A nice amount of oils is being deposited onto my tongue; this carries the flavor between puffs.

Once again another fine cigar has gone up in smoke.

If you look you will see this cigar in my humidor. Bob and Sue are selling this cigar in various sizes all under $5.00. What a bargain, at this price why not stock up

Thanks again Bob and Sue for this cigar.
