Estilo Cubano Cigar

The cigar in this review is a Estilo Cubano Cigar toraso 54 x 5.75”

The Estilo Cubano Cigar is very rich in appearance with an oily very dark brown wrapper. This cigar is rather firm without any soft spots. This is a very luxurious looking cigar.

This cigar is exceptionally well made with tight seams and the cap was crafted by an artist.

The cap ends with a traditional pigtail.

"Rabo de cochino" pig tail in Spanish

You can twist off the pigtail on a cigar instead of using a cutter. However the cigar must be correctly humidified or you could damage the wrapper. I twisted the pigtail off of this cigar and the draw was quite good. However not enough of the tobacco was exposed for a good photograph, so I cut the cigar. The cap cut very smoothly and displayed the skillful fabrication of this cigar.

The foot of the Estilo Cubano Cigar appeared to be evenly packed and was flat with no tobacco sticking out.

The foot toasted uniformly and very rapidly. The Estilo Cubano Cigar lit effortlessly as if it was ready to be burned.

The first flavors were oak, coffee, dark chocolate and a nice amount of oil on the tongue.

The first third of the Cuban Style Cigar offered oak, coffee, dark chocolate and some pepper all of the flavors were on the front of my tongue along with some oil. The smoke was a little dry, but so dry as to cause a problem. So far this has been a gratifying smoke. After the flavors began to develop a little apple flavor started to appear.
The Estilo Cubano Cigar would be a great cigar to smoke after a sumptuous meal and could be paired was a very pleasant cognac or brandy.
The Estilo Cubano Cigar has burned very evenly and has developed into a full flavored cigar.

The second third of this cigar’s flavor continued with oak, coffee dark chocolate and a slight hint of apple. The oil has also continued to increase and has moved to the back of my tongue.
The excellent performance of this cigar is a tribute to the Torcedor who rolled this cigar.

As this cigar burns it becomes more robust in flavor. The pepper is very subtle in the background and pepper is contributing to the over all feel of the smoke in the mouth with out stepping out of concert with the other flavors.
The tobaccos in the Estilo Cubano Cigar are fermented and aged perfectly producing a powerfully rich and smooth smoke at the same time. This is a strong cigar and I like it. Sometimes I have the tendency to smoke a cigar to fast to squeeze more flavor out of the cigar, but this cigar I can smoke at a more leisurely pace and still get all of the flavors of the tobaccos.

This cigar plays no games. It has no gimmicks, just straightforward hearty smoke.

This Estilo Cubano Cigar was a gift from Henry and Susan owners of the Kings’ Humidor of Sebastian, Florida. Thank you for this great smoke.

This cigar has burned perfectly with a very sharp burn line.
The last third of the Estilo Cubano Cigar continues to deliver on the same path that it started on with oak, coffee, dark chocolate, pepper and lots of oil. It continues to be a very full and powerful smoke, but it remains a smooth and delectable smoke.

I have enjoyed this smoke, but once again another great smoke has come to the end. You will find this cigar in my humidor.

Thanks again Henry and Susan.

Enjoy.

Smoke ‘em if you got ‘em.
